📈 U.S. job growth continues to surprise economists. But it could also be that the 528,000 new jobs reported in July is composed almost entirely of part time job creation. If so, the full time employment may have risen very little in July. Read more

🖥 HBCUs taking lead on a new eLearning platform. An initiative within Deloitte Digital known as Ethos is collaborating with historically Black colleges and universities to launch a new platform called HBCUv. It could lead to more inclusive learning products for diverse students.

💰 Gold stars worth $$. RedCritter has launched CritterCoin which offers students non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as incentives for positive behaviors. Top-scoring students are awarded collectible digital Critters by their teachers, which can then be converted to NFTs on the Avalanche blockchain. The approach could help connect NFTs to real world situations and the value of digital commerce. Read more
