Salesforce Ventures recently put millions into Class, a Zoom-friendly edtech startup…Class has now raised $58 million in less than a year, with a $30 million Series A in February 2021 and a $16 million seed round in September 2020.The money will be used to help expand its reach in K-12 and higher-ed institutions across the world.
Udemy keeps raising money as well…While over 80 percent of its courses are free, the company continues to build out its Udemy for Business platform. With a focus on enterprise sales, this new offering features a library of 5,500 of its highest-rated technical and business content to compete with LinkedIn Learning and others in the space.
INSEAD executive education platform adopts a fully blended format using new tech…INSEAD has now launched GO-Live, a platform that will help executives continue their learning from anywhere in the world, based on Barco’s weConnect virtual classrooms.
The MasterClass effect and how Aspirational learning could influence accredited degree programs. Aspirational learning has different incentives than for-credit learning. In order to be successful, Outlier needs to prove to universities it can use MasterClass magic for true outcomes that rival in-person lectures.
