A fresh start in Paris

Did you know? 5.9 billion people own or use a mobile phone, making up roughly 72% of people globally who can be digitally reached. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡³ I'm returning to Paris, France, for the annual UNESCO Digital Learning Week. This year's theme is Education in the age of AI: Facts | Frictions | Frontiers.

It's always a special chance to dive into the global reach of digital innovations that are shaping the way people learn at every age. And while multinational companies are known for serving large audiences, I find it notable the different perspectives that governments and nations can have when it comes to scaling digital solutions for whole societies of people.

On a personal note, this is also a fresh start for me to get back into the industry conference scene. I’d say for the past 18 months I’d had my head down working through a few large enterprise AI enablement projects for longtime clients.

Watch This Space

You can watch the livestream of the keynotes here starting Sept. 8, 2026.

There will be a host of workshops and smaller trainings in areas like: "Opening the AI black box: Regional bias, corporate control and sovereign infrastructure" and "Frugal AI for equitable learning: Small models, offline solutions and wider access."

Cheers!
